There are countless decisions about what possessions to take, and what to leave. Countless details to manage during the move process. And the daunting task of setting up a new home that may be very different from what you’re used to. Helping Hand Moves’ principals, Mary Gallant and Daniela Baldoni, know how challenging – but ultimately, how rewarding – a move can be. At the end of each project, clients are comfortably settled in a home that works well for their lifestyle and is a joy to live in. Learn more about their approach to helping clients.
Mary Gallant has decades of experience in residential interior decorating, an artist’s eye for color, space and proportion – and a native Mainer’s appreciation for practicality and frugality. Mary’s career in residential interior decorating required great attention to detail to be sure customers got exactly the results they envisioned. When Helping Hand Moves clients work with Mary to create a floor plan for their new home, they get a clear picture of the best furnishings to take with them for their new space, plus expert advice for any new furniture or window treatments they will need.
Daniela’s background is industrial project management. She develops a solid game plan and manageable schedule for the complex task of moving Helping Hand Moves clients from one household to another. Before moving to Maine eight years ago, Daniela’s career in her native Italy was project management in the luxury bath and spa industry. She led many of the design teams that prepared new products for the manufacturing process. Daniela brings those organizational and time-to-market skills to Helping Hand Moves clients. There are many “moving parts” in a home relocation – not only sourcing and managing a moving company, but also coordinating the work of a host of other vendors: utility companies, auction and estate sale contractors, and non-profit organizations that clients use to dispose of unwanted clothing, furniture and other goods. Daniela takes the worry out of moving for clients by ensuring that all the work is done correctly, on time, and to the client’s total satisfaction.
